2010

1. Elsinore - Yes Yes Yes (2010)

Elsinore is an indie pop/rock band from Illinois, USA. Fantastic music: voices in melodic harmonies, beautiful violin arrangements, heavy bass, great melodies and superb recording! "Lines" is my favorite song. A little masterpiece!

An example from the recording, both soft and hard: "Gasoline"

4. Sade - Soldier of Love (2010)

Sade, born as Helen Folasade Adu in Ibadan, Nigeria. She lives in the English countryside.

She sings in a pop/soul/jazz manner. This is the best of her albums and the first 5 songs are outstanding.

The album is a Hi-Fi record and if you have a decent stereo you will enjoy the record even more.

Spring Standards is an independent three-piece folk-rock band from New York, USA.

Sound is airy and partly acoustic. Two favorites here: "Queen of the Lot" and "Unravel Unwind".

Here: "Queen of the Lot", a excellent song and a fantastic "muppetvideo".

6. Tracy Bonham - Masts Of Manhatta (2010)

Tracy Bonham is an alternative singer/songwriter and violinist from Boston, USA. This is her fourth album and it´s mostly acoustic, which gives it an organic and relaxing sound. No electronic disturbance here! Favorite song is "Devil's Got Your Boyfriend", but there is a bunch of fine compositions!
