Releasing her debut album, “40 Miles East of Memphis” with Grammy nominated producer Billy Smiley (Whiteheart, Johnny Cash, Be Be and Ce Ce Winans, and Steven Curtis Chapman), they have created an incredible journey of life, love, and loss through the songs that she has written. The first step was taking songs from two of her favorite artists, Elvis Presley and Bruce Springsteen, and infusing her southern charm into their music in a way that only Tanya’s voice and style can do.
Bringing Vince Gill in on guitar and the harmony vocal for her unique take on the Elvis single, ‘Don’t Be Cruel’ was a watershed moment not only for Davis but for the heartbeat of the project. With some of Nashville’s top players and engineers contributing their skills to her art, she is ready to let the world in on her love of Mississippi, music, the outdoors, and the way she commands an audience when she sings.
Favorite songs: "I Got It Bad", "Don't Be Cruel", "I'm on Fire" and "The River".
